Vena Cava Yacht

The Vena Cava is a 65-metre hybrid motor yacht concept that joins the growing list of environmentally conscious vessels. Every aspect from the materials to the construction is designed to set a new standard for sustainable luxury.

90% of the superstructure consists of renewable materials such as glass, aluminium, re-usable plastics, and wood from sustainable forests.

The materials were chosen with the holistic lifecycle taken into consideration, even after it has served its purpose. Materials used are made from recycled waste, reducing pollution. Furniture fabric is made from recycled fishing nets.

Large solar panels cover the two uppermost roofs to provide the vessel with electricity.

The upper deck is the yachts’ crowning feature with an unobstructed 360-degree view. The focus point of this design was to provide a calming space where one can practice meditation as well as yoga.

There are multiple lounging areas from inside, poolside and at the back with a teppanyaki station.

Alongside the back are folding doors to port, starboard and stern for launching various crafts as well as boarding the ship.

The objective of design is to be invisible, to remove boundaries or borders between humanity and nature. This pursuit is evident in the Vena Cava vessel with both its physical design as well as its overarching impact on the planet, striving to reinstate equilibrium.
