BIOGRAPHY
George Gibbens is a visionary industrial designer with wide-ranging expertise spanning furniture design, luxury goods, technology, architecture, and manufacturing. Born and raised in South Africa, George's hands-on approach to design began at a young age. He honed his craft before moving to Paris.
George's international debut was in 2016 at Dubai Design Week, where he presented his groundbreaking Wasser project, an electricity-free washing machine. He made headlines again in 2021 with his stunning Slank Occasional Chair, showcased at the prestigious Milan Design Week.
His outstanding work has earned him numerous accolades, including the Red Dot Award and the Design Intelligence Award, and he has been featured in leading publications such as Men's Health and L'Officiel. George is also a sought-after speaker on design and innovation, having appeared on several podcasts.
